Bugzy said in his “Zombie Riddim”:

He’s obsessed, like a secret fan

Most likely pointing out that Chip has gone into Bugzy’s rhymes and studied them as if he enjoyed his music and was a fan of his. Chip went into Bugzy’s lyrics to point out the flaws and weaknesses, note that Bugzy has a song entitled “Pain” with lyrics that say:

Not physical pain, it’s psychological pain
And if you look closely enough you can see the pain in my face

Chip is strategically observing Bugzy and his lyrics because he knows when you’re in an extended beef it’s similar to a chess game (he also referred to Tinie’s sends as dead chess moves). Over his next 4 bars he explains how he became more of an MC than Bugzy from that point on. Note they are the same age (24).

We think Chip may be on about Lowkey who he had previously encountered with. Lowkey no longer does music. He retired in 2012.

Lowkey dropped ‘the warning’ during the outro he said to Chip: “You need to start acting like a man. Are you a lyricist? Or are you a pop star? If you’re a lyricist, do your thing.”

He posted this not too long after that tweet.

Bugzy has a couple bars from his song “Pagans” subliminally dissing Chip:

I came up from the bottom to the premier league and got man of the match like Wayne Rooney

Chip is the only one in this beef that has achieved a “Hat-Trick” so he technically draws more similarity to London’s leading goal scorer Wayne Rooney. Since Bugzy’s “Zombie Riddim” was prerecorded, this is Chip’s 2nd send in a row which is close to another Hat-trick. This is also his 3rd song in a row where he’s taken shots at Tinie, so now in a sense he has landed a Hat-trick on him also.

As you can see from Bugzy’s music he really can’t stop dissing Chip for doing pop songs, as Chip said:

You can’t finish me without mentioning grime or pop

As Bugzy came back and said:

How do you go from pop back to the grime scene?

It really doesn’t even make sense though when Tinie Tempah is the only artist that voiced their support for Bugzy’s Wasteman diss and he makes Pop music. Chip made these pop songs years ago and this year Bugzy’s teaming up with a pop star and making songs like Peak. Also note that Bugzy has used hooks for all 4 of his sends when Chip has only dropped bars on a total of 8 tracks.

A lot of Bugzy’s fanbase are young kids who just discovered grime and believe all of Bugzy’s lies about Chip. In reality, Chip didn’t go bankrupt, and he owns his own home.

Chip suggests that these newcomers to the grime scene should be educated before they start calling Bugzy the winner of this beef. It’s likely that a lot of them won’t have heard classic albums like Dizzee Rascal’s Boy in Da Corner – so how can they act like their opinion on grime matters?

Bugzy Malone & Tinie Tempah seem to be teaming up on Chip considering they released 3 sends at him within the same couple of days (“Been the Man”, “Wasteman”, & “Zombie Riddim”).

As Chip said during his response – “Coward” to Tinie:

Fuck you and your dead chess moves
One pen, I’ll check you swiftly

He’s not afraid to take both of them on at the same time. This is also another nod towards the opening of When I’m ‘Ere.

Clever wordplay, slicing and dicing are words for knife play- his bars are sharp. You can also use dice when gambling. Chip is saying he will out verse anyone that would accept the bet.

I’m pretty sure he released his “Dickhead” single at 12am on iTunes but this is most likely a play on saying “pm” rather than am. His instagram originally said he would reply with the “Dickhead”“ video to Bugzy’s “Wasteman” at 11pm but due to issues on youtube the video didn’t upload until after midnight. Chip keeps referring to midnight as 12pm to poke fun at the fact that he was late with the video and Bugzy was gassed over it.

This track and “Dickhead” were technically released the same day so Bugzy can hold 2 responses in a day.

During Bugzy’s Zombie Riddim he said he could end Chip with one word on 4 songs, that word being “Snitch”. Another fabricated rumor/lie by Bugzy that he’s using to try and gain some kind of leverage with the fans. There is no fact that this is true at all, no one else backs this up and Chip just thinks Bugzy’s desperation is showing as he is starting to run out of bars.

Both Chip and Bugzy went through pain alongside their family, and Chip compares the two different ways that they responded to it. While Chip “grabbed the pen” and started to rap about his troubles, Bugzy started to become involved in crime, went to prison, and hit the gym.

Babylon is a reference to the government, or more specifically in this context, the police. Chip counters bugzy’s claim that he is a snitch by saying that even when he was about to lose his life he did not think of calling police

Chip has turned this wheel up bar into profitable merchandise, it sells because it’s so honest. He’s pointing out Bugzy can’t come back for he has ran out of bars.

He’s also making a reference to his bars in “Run Out Riddim” and how Bugzy never came back to the ‘Chick- King’ in Chip’s ends after Bugzy filmed his “Relegation Riddim” there and deliberately pointed it out several times to disrespect Chip, but unintentionally disrespected a lot of the people in Tottenham as well as fellow Tottenham MC Rage for those are his roads.

As Chip said:

You wanna film here? Tweet the time one day before, You’ll get run out the ends, waste of petrol don’t try that again

So far Bugzy hasn’t tried that again. “Can’t come back, Chick King get run out” is what he’s saying.

As Chip has expressed through his responses- he’s honest and believes Bugzy is just “acting” by making things up about him, which is frustrating and it obviously angers him. Chip’s other “madting” was his “96 Bars of Revenge”“ where he sent for Tinie (patrick) and Bugzy. Chip is responding to the end of “Zombie Riddim” when Bugzy said: "let’s clash”. Chip is fully willing to take on Bugzy and Tinie at the same time, he’s just waiting for their price on the clash.

After being online for almost a day, Chip’s music video for his previous diss ‘Dickhead’ was mysteriously blocked by YouTube due to a copyright claim by Merlin Awal UK Limited. However, the video was available to watch once again not long afterwards.

Here, Chip is suggesting that Bugzy Malone may have something to do with this situation, and Chip believes that Bugzy may have done this because he feels inferior to the Tottenham MC.

It seems that Chip has been conversing with someone important to Bugzy over social media. He’s not revealing too much though because he knows he can save this ammo for later if Bugzy sends back.

Bugzy’s hook on “Zombie Riddim”:

Man don’t want it with the zombie killer
Want it with the zombie killer

Chip is stating he isn’t going to get taken down by this so called “killer”. He’s also referring to the rest of the “premier league” and those who had previously sent for him that he addressed during his “Pepper Riddim” over 5 months ago when this epic beef officially started to take off.

This bar connects with his next one about the Pentonville prison, Chip knows this prison has rough conditions and he knows “real” men are in there. Chip thinks Bugzy’s image of a bad boy doesn’t compare to these real men. Note that Chip referred to Bugzy as a “half way crook” in his first send back- “Pepper Riddim”.

Real men don’t prefer to hear a man lie in his music, but if the music is hard and honest, they will most likely rate it. Bugzy wondered how Chip could come back from Pop music, well he did it by spitting hard and earning his respect as an MC back from the haters. A real man can forget the fact that Chip has made pop songs because now he’s bringing bars and thats the most important part of being an MC.

Chip grew up in Tottenham, an area in North London that is often associated with crime, violence and poverty. Here, he highlights the harsh surroundings of his area, and shows frustration at the fact that some people do not take these issues as seriously as they should.

Chip may be looking at Bugzy Malone’s decision to film the music video for his song ‘Relegation Riddim’ in Tottenham. Bugzy claimed in Zombie Riddim that he didn’t intend to insult Tottenham as a whole.

I come to Tottenham, but I didn’t send for the ends
And fuck sending for your friends

However, Chip and fellow Tottenham MC Rage clearly disagree.

During Chip’s “Hat-Trick” he said:

Referring to Bugzy sending for him after Chip laid down his “bait” during his “Fire in the Booth Part 2”:

It can be a warning to anyone. Like I said, when we hear funny tings if it goes just over 60% over the mark of ‘That could be at Chip’ and you’re in the Premier League because it goes right down to Conference – let’s not get it twisted in this rap ting…I’ll be at your neck rudeboy!!

Here Chip is openly laying down his “bait” to the rest of the “premier league”, anyone who wants to bite the bait and send for him can listen to how he can make an example out of Bugzy, and them too if they send for him.

This is also a nod towards Roll Deep’s opening line from “When I’m Ere”, as ‘Duppy Riddim’ is over the same instrumental. Wiley from Roll Deep has known Chip for a long time and introduced him on Westwood when he was only 16.

Chip originally said this to Bugzy at the end of his “Pepper Riddim” in response to Bugzy’s Fire in the Booth which started their beef.
