The Units were a Synth Punk band from San Francisco. Consisting Scott Ryser and Rachel Webber on synths and vocals, and Brad Saunders on drums.

Scott Ryser and Rachel Webber and began their career playing synth with the band Ace Jet in the early ‘70s, The pair graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with degrees in video art which were used to create films made as visual backdrop for the band’s concerts.

The band put out one album, that being Digital Stimulation. As well as a few EPS.
They created another album named “Animals They Dream About” but wasn’t released till 2016 (After the band disbanded) due to label disputes

In 1984 Scott Ryser and Rachel Webber move to New York, putting an effective end to the Units.
