An avant-garde, unsettling, and generally weird YouTube channel, Jordan Diniz, as treatsforbeasts, began posting videos in 2009, falling into his recognizable MS-Paint-graphic style music videos just a year later. The videos feature disturbing imagery, lyrics, and themes, usually relating to religion. After disappearing at the end of 2014, he released a self-titled short video almost exactly 3 years later. In 2018, exactly one year after the release of treatsforbeasts, he released the album Sin Nomine as Sanguinarius on his YouTube channel, although the album had previously been out for over a year at that point.

On Valentine’s Day 2020, treatsforbeasts released a new short movie, The Beast is Dead. There are no indications that this could be a sequel to the original self-titled video. Shortly afterwards, treatsforbeasts uploaded The Beast is Risen, a collection of outtakes, unfinished films, and home movies. The video was deleted after 24 hours, but a reupload exists, of course. On November 1st, 2020, a new short movie was released, Perfect Little Dream. In 2021, Diniz released treatsforbeasts: the music, a 34-track album of treatsforbeasts original songs, remixes, soundtracks for the short films, and six demos from his gothic metal band, Sanguinarius.
