R Craig Polson, better known as MastodonRare or Westside Más, is a rapper & contemporary R&B artist from Glendale, Arizona who began to attract an online following in 2017, with the release of his first mixtape, Thank God 4 the Westside, Thank God 4 U. From that effort, came Honest; a souled-out, post-heartbreak, feel-good song that gained him the attention of Elevator Magazine, who called it “Infectious with tropical and elongated melodies, ala Tory Lanez and Roy Woods.”

MastodonRare would return in 2018 to issue what became his most well-received project to date, Guilty Gear". The 5-track EP was supported by music videos for the standout tracks, The Weekend & Fun. Though Guilty Gear was shorter in length than his previous release & boasted no features, it was praised as an upgrade for showing not only the versatility in his abilities, but the skill in his execution. In the run up to his 2019 mixtape We Play 4 Blood, MastodonRare would step into his true power as an artist, delivering sticky & unforgettable hooks; evidenced by tracks like Szns & Not the One.

Now, with an even bigger cult following & more eyes on him than ever, MastodonRare is readying the follow-up to 2018’s Guilty Gear, for which he’s already released two successful singles; El Camino, which went on to become his biggest song in a matter of months, thanks to its singsong hook & melodic bridge combo & Coastin', an R&B evolution with potential to open up a whole new lane for this ever-changing, inimitable artist.
