Doctor Colossus is a punk rock band from Dresden, Germany. It was founded by a Hip-Gun Studio owner Thomas Baumgärtel. The lineup consists of Thomas Baumgärtel as the vocalist, accompanied by three instrumentalists. Prior to their debut in late 2022, the band had played together for over a decade at various local venues.

The band made their official debut on December 25, 2022, with the release of their debut single, “Tom of Finland.” Shortly after, they released the second single, “Evel Knievel,” whose demo recording was shared by Thomas himself back in 2016. Eventually, in February 2023, Doctor Colossus dropped their debut studio album, Burning Schnämse.

In April 2024, the band released a music video for “Banana Joe,” making it the newest activity in the Doctor Colossus project.
