dead7 is an American experimental metalcore and alternative metal band based in St. Louis, Missouri. Signed to the prominent heavy music label SharpTone Records, the five-piece quintet is known for blending thick, low-tuned guitar grooves with dense electronic layers, atmospheric keys, and emotionally raw, vocoder-laced vocals.

The band originally formed in 2019 when Kozik, Guinn, and Quinn met up to jam. After filling out the rest of the lineup, they used the downtime during the COVID-19 pandemic to radically revamp and refine their sound and branding. The name dead7 was inspired by the famous “27 Club” (artists who died at age 27), as most of the band members were turning 27 at the time, and their music heavily explores themes of love, death, mental health, and addiction.
