BUTAOTOME is a dōjin circle (Japanese music group) formed during the Autumn of 2009, with 3 main components, Ranko [Vocals], Comp [Composition, Arrangement], Ranko no Ane [Web Design, Illustration] and Paprika [Piano, left the group in April, 2020].
They started with posting covers, and they took part in dōjin events, such as Comiket and Reitaisai.

They released their first album, Touhou Kaiten Mokuba, in March 2010.

They’re known for their unique blending of J-pop and J-rock, and for collaborating with many other circles, such as UNDEAD CORPORATION, Shibayan Records, and many more.
