“I am my own god, I create my own fate!” Based in Portugal, AktiveHate formed in 2007 as a successor to Aktivate. They are self-described as “hurtful, sorrowful, hateful” and specialize in dark electro / aggrotech. They became active in 2009 when they released their first free EP, Corrosive Intent to positive reception. Two years later, they would be signed under Advoxya Records to release their debut full-length album, In Terrorem. Using experimental instrumentals, such as live and highly-distorted guitars, Aktivehate would pave the way for other groups in the genre and future industrial sound.
