[Verse 1]

Universes parallel, yet so far

Drift away, the X isn't between bars

The exit is back into the exeunt

So no shit I can't act in the present

Stand or sit, I need antidepressants

And need em quick, beginnin to feel distant

Shackles to my wrist, my apotheosis

While the village persists adrift, still sits my prison

Locked doors, I don't know what I'm missin

Anymore, feel though I'm drownin in this sin

White noise of the wires, I listen in

Chalkboard, I'm spyin your synonyms

Of course, I'm lyin til redundant

This board was signed and defunded

But this boy had found seeds in all it

Now he soars, and they say he's a prophet

[Chorus]

But which way will he go towards?

Wooden boards on the floor are beginnin to break

He never can shake the feeling that he's living his fate

And he's running on a tape until the end of his days

But still, he appreciates all of the praise

And doesn't have anything for his résumé

One-day-essays are a basic case

For the playwright in his café

[Verse 2]

Midsummer night, and mid-thought of you and I

About how I might have seen the light if I knew I wasn't right

Skippin through the footage in my mind of every single time

That I should've kept a foot in where I left in fickle lies

The flicker dies, burned bridges without indecision

Arsonist, but not sinister, so insists I must rebuild em

Like I'm done filled up, and so fed up with Alice

Conflagrate the malice til we both see ended falacies

Memories, feelings of our golden weeks

Open these, old photos, see you and me

When we both freeze, look, smile, the breeze hits

Recalling your guile, get the feeling like a flea bit

I flee quick, close out the pic, and leave with

The feeling that our feelings spiraled south too quick

I wish we coulda split to the east, upon our grand quest

But I couldn't speak with ease, so she's stationed in the west

Unlike the rest, I let regrets affect my senses

So every time I party, I hear only her sentences

I drink til I'm sadistic, and scream over her tenses

How can I make it so I'm chained inside a plane betwixt this?

Brain was so acidic, didn't wanna see myself

Had to find myself, break down in the bathroom while I fix myself

A battered hell, the battery cells of a better cell

Better? Hell, better be able to sell myself

So what the price of sale?

Got a deal with the devil

An easel made of metal easily is cleaned to essentials

The ease of a pencil, libertine inside the mental

Schemed a scene of a stencil, a portrait instrumental

Dorian Gray better ensure his story's straight

Or he's got a hollow space neighboring this author's grave

Falling down a staircase, walls melting around him, wait

Painting on the ground, he sees the only way he can escape

[Chorus]

But which way will he go towards?

Wooden boards on the floor are beginnin to break

He never can shake the feeling that he's living his fate

And he's running on a tape until the end of his days

But still, he appreciates all of the praise

And doesn't have anything for his résumé

One-day-essays are a basic case
