Drake is aware that his recent commercial success makes him a target. Constantly fending off attacks might be making him a hard person to be around. Lyrics from “No Tellin'” similarly speak on his paranoia and new attitude:

Drake was in 2015’s hottest beef when Meek Mill tweeted that Drake didn’t write his own rhymes. This resulted in two diss tracks from Drake with “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” and even more ghost-writing claims from Meek.

While [identical] twins are very much alike in their appearances, they’re still different people with their own personal traits. Drake ensures this special girl that he’s not pursuing her because of her looks, but because he’s genuinely into her. He sure knows how to make a girl feel valued like no other.

Believe it or not, there’s actually a popular parody Instagram account that imagines what it would be like if Drake had a twin. Perhaps Drake & Drake could schedule a double date with the female twins.

Drake painted a similar image, during his verse on J. Cole’s track, “In The Morning:”

Drizzy has always shown appreciation to girls who work all night, especially the ones working in strip clubs. Aside from his lustful entanglements, Drake’s shown genuine admiration for intelligent women, those who don’t rely on him for financial stability, and can instead support themselves.

Usher’s 2004 album, Confessions, had a song on it titled “Burn.” The hook in that song started with “let it burn.” PND is saying that his girl “lets it burn,” which is commonly used to describe a mistake or a very bad action. In this case, that could be their relationship, and the girl just lets it fall to pieces.

PARTY is in the process of trying to get laid by this girl, but he also takes into account the amount of men who would have been with this girl, making her a prime suspect for a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI); specifically Hepatitis B.

PARTY is very vocal about his wish to get with this girl, but he is also being aware of his sexual health at the same time by telling this girl that he doesn’t want to be touched with Hepatitis, which can lead to unpleasant things (such as yellow eyes).

Drake doesn’t want to get caught up in the heat of the moment, potentially spoiling a healthy relationship by prematurely pursuing his sexual desires. PARTYNEXTDOOR also touched on the importance of taking things steady in his track “Wait For You.”

In certain situations, it’s unclear whether a relationship is worth further pursuing, a predicament that Drake’s faced on multiple counts:

Why are we wasting our relationship on a relationship?
Why are we rushing and forcing it? This isn’t making sense

A possible reference to the chorus of “Recognize” where he says : “Better recognize when I see you”.

Drizzy puts in the work to make the relationship last. As he later admits, he’s gotten colder and more cautious, but he wants to make it work with his girl. Regardless of the success rate of long-distance relationships, Drake sees potential. He has to see it through, which means he will stick to her, even though things might be not good at the moment. In this case, he sees serious potential in the relationship and he is going to do whatever it takes to ensure it works out.

Drake is calling for more rounds of Ciroc Vodka, which features a blue dot on the bottle.

“Dry!” is Jamaican Patois for boring or un-entertaining.

As a consequence, Party says “Me ah desert him”—meaning it’s time to leave.

This is wordplay on the words “desert” and “dry.” A desert is the driest place on earth, so it’s a fitting place to leave him if he keeps being such a “dry” dude. She’s not aroused or excited to be around him—he’s not making her wet! She’s dry like a desert so now she’s got to desert him.

“Nuh time to have you lurking” means she can’t have him sticking around doing nothing.

The girl is going to be unhappy about it, but PND insists he was good to her.

Never one to shy away from his sexual desires, PND wants to get down in the bedroom.

Party is speaking in Jamaican patois—"Haffi" means “have to” and “ah guh” means “is going to.” “Meh nuh cyar” means “I don’t care.”
