How long has it been since you left?

How long has it been since I’ve seen the sun?

How long has it been since all of us went discrete?

How long until days are back in my possession? How long?

It is true; you never know what you had ‘til it’s gone

Demote, scratching away at the exterior of the simple package growing up

Seeking the answers that will never be given, never learned

Needing to know how a structure so strong could collapse from one segment removed

I don’t think anyone saw this coming

It is true; you nеver know what you had ‘til it’s gone

How long has it been since you lеft?

How long has it been since I’ve seen the sun?

How long has it been since all of us went discrete?

How long until days are back in my possession? How long?

But we’ve drifted too far to ever reform

So much as a simple conversation was taken for granted

But now it’s too uncomfortable to even make contact

We let ourselves disperse

Too proud to even make an effort after a few unsuccessful attempts

Now we are living our lives without consort

Even if brought back together, nothing would be the same and it would never last

We just decamped

Never thinking that just one was the center keeping us united

Guess it was bound to happen, but why so soon?

Everyone goes through the same thing at some point

I just thought we would be different and be able to hold on

I miss all of you, and you’ll live on forever in my memories
