A tree-hugger is someone who shows particular concern for and attempts to protect trees, animals and other parts of the natural world from modern threats.

In terms of Jme, he shows love for his people, because he’s proud of what they really stand for.

Jme is a well-known vegan, so he could be considered to be a “tree hugger” himself.

With these bars, Chip’s dismissing the various artists who’ve criticised him over the preceding few months, in particular Tinie Tempah and Manchester MC Bugzy Malone with whom he has exchanged numerous diss tracks throughout 2015.

“I know you man just might run out of bars, Chip can’t run out of bars” was a catchphrase used throughout Chip’s disses in 2015, first appearing on his Fire in the Booth session.

Chip also makes some clever wordplay on “draw me out”. He means that other MCs are trying to provoke a response from him when they mention him in tracks. You can also “draw breath”, meaning to breathe in, which links in with the idea of “all air”.

This is a reference to Jme’s track “Test Me”, from his Integrity album. Jme claims that nobody is good enough to even test his skill as an MC.

He associates this with cheating in an exam — the only way you could beat him in a clash is if you cheat.

Referring to his “bruddaz” like Lukey Maxwell, a close friend of Chip who passed away in June 2015.

Chip and his crew show up to a club night with a Macbook full of their tracks. There’s a clever bit of wordplay here, because a MAC is also a type of gun which could let off a different kind of banger.

As Jme said at the start of his verse, he means to “shows love all day”, but if you get too rude with him it’s very possible that it can end badly for you.

Up shit creek without a paddle is phrase that means you have found yourself in an unpleasant situation. Jme adds ‘no rudders’ as an intensifier that furthers the trouble for this ‘little bugger’.

The phrase has also been used in films across the world and has even made it to be the title of a few.

Tough Mudder is a mud obstacle course, in which the saying “no pain no gain” is very pertinent.

Lethal Bizzle claims that if you want to remain relevant as an artist for a long time (Using Jay-Z and his Blueprint as an example) you should follow his example, with a throwback to his iconic 2004 all-star track “Pow! (Forward)”, remade in 2011 with a new set of stars as “POW 2011”.
