Øystein Sunde
Øystein Sunde (born 24 January 1947 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian musician known for his fast style of guitar playing and humorous lyrics. He lives in Skarnes, Norway with his wife and has two children. He is the first artist to win Årets spellemann (Artist of the Year) at the Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy Awards) twice, and he also won the same award in 1990 with his supergroup Gitarkameratene.
He is also a part of the group Christiania Fusel & Blaagress, and was also a part of the Norwegian super group Gitarkameratene (eng. The Guitar Buddies) together with fellow Norwegian musicians and guitarists Halvdan Sivertsen, Jan Eggum and Lillebjørn Nilsen, which was disbanded after the latter’s death in January 2024.
He has released 15 studio albums, with the most recent being Bestefar, released in 2016.
