XO_willow is one of several projects created by April Maybelline, who now performs under the name Crucify April.

This project was used to post many acoustic-focused songs, most of them having very controversial topics such as real-life tragedies, drug addiction, and misogyny. Many of these songs are from when Maybelline was around the ages of 13–15, therefore it should be noted that the song topics are explained by her as “completely fictional, and made up from my early teenage ramblings and thoughts.”

Maybelline has stated that there will be no more songs under this project, and as of current, uploads music under the project “crucify april.” There has not been much comment on why any of the projects were discontinued outside of the intro to the album a whole lot of shit, where it is stated:

“In closing, these projects are dead and will not be continued.”
