Formed as teenagers in late 2015 by vocalist Tom Blackwood and guitarist Dan Garry, XIVUS focuses on blending rough Indie Rock alongside grungy lo-fi reverb. Quickly enlisting the aid of drummer Jack Park, the trio began recording their songs and touring the local music scene in Swansea, Wales. The boys promptly accumulated a considerable buzz surrounding their debut single Counterfeit which resulted in the release of further afield to larger audiences in Cardiff and London. Early 2016 saw bassist Joe Willis join the line-up and subsequently the group’s single Teeth was released, landing the quartet numerous slots on radio stations across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, which in turn brought a considerably greater fan base.

The band’s discovery touches on romance, Youth and dissatisfaction with small town life. Their third release, Teeth, communicates a stern message on how monotonous life can be living in a smaller city and delivers an anthemic voice to the indie culture, referencing money, lifestyle and relationships.

Influenced by the likes of The Libertines, The Wombats, and The Cribs, the group continue to write and record their rough-around-the-edges music for their ever-growing base of supporters, keeping true to their unique sound and style.
