wubz (born October 17, 2000) is a singer-songwriter and producer from Birmingham, Alabama. Though he labels his music as alternative rock on SoundCloud, he is commonly affiliated with the hyperpop scene having worked with other prominent artists like SEBii, ​kmoe and ​funeral. With his aggressive and passionate delivery complimented by head-nodding beats that never overstay their welcome, you’ll remember their pain-dripped choruses after one listen.

He began releasing music in 2018 with his first single, “THOT DETECTED!”. wubz would continue to consistently drop his own self-produced rap songs into 2019 as well as producing for other artists, most notably working on ​quinn’s “friend of the enemy”—another big name in hyperpop music. Much of his early music has been deleted from his profiles, including his debut EP, king of hatred, but has been archived by fans on YouTube and SoundCloud.

wubz’s new sound can be only described as his own. His deep vocals at the forefront of his tracks over the unique instrumentals that mix hip-hop with pop and even rock influences. His debut album, the earl, expected to be released in 2024, seems to be the perfect representation of his style. Singles like “marci” and “jail” are full of references to Adventure Time, which he commonly shows his appreciation for on social media. Outside of music, wubz occasionally streams on Twitch to engage with his community.
