Jeremiah Justin Simms (July 24, 2003 — May 5, 2025), professionally known as wifiskeleton, was an American recording artist, producer, and guitarist who talked on subjects such as love, heartbreak, depression, suicide, murder, and more morbid topics alongside his collective, ​gothangelz.

wifiskeleton was an enigmatic figure, with his internet claim to fame initially being through his commentary YouTube channel, Cyrus, which gained popularity in 2017. Over the next couple of years, he began to pick up music, going under many different artist personas such as fuxkcy, MOODY 💘, secretsaturdays, july and helen. He was formerly a member of the collective sanriocult, now known as CONTRAGANG.

Before wifiskeleton, his second big break was his music under the moniker *67, which was his main artist persona from 2021 through 2023, featuring his mixes of popular songs and bit-crushed rap. This style of music was also made by members of #GREED, a collective he created around this time.

wifiskeleton used the imagery of the 90s through early 2010s cartoons, clip art of emojis, drawings, and early internet culture throughout his music artwork. A staple of his songs were his signature self-deprecating text-to-speech tags such as “You are so goddamn pathetic,” “You creepy loser,” and “You are a creep and a weirdo”— phrases used against him during his years in school. On the contrary, more general tags used in his songs consist of “gothangelz,” “Better than Nirvana,” and “Totally better than Nirvana.”

He used to delete many of his songs, which made some of them harder to come by than others. However, in the third quarter of 2024, he and his management team made it a mission to re-upload all his tracks dating back to 2022 under the moniker “skeleton archive” on streaming platforms.

In early 2025, just months following the release of his debut album, suburban daredevil, his music began to soar in popularity after “Nope your too late i already died” exploded in virality on TikTok and through other social media platforms, eventually reaching #91 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Unfortunately, in the afternoon hours of May 5, 2025, wifiskeleton was found dead at his home in Miami, Florida at age 21, due to a suicide—drug overdose after ingesting a concoction of lean and Xanax. On the same day before he passed he was doing an Instagram livestream, saying that he’s about to commit suicide:

I’m finna, uh, I’m finna pull up to the gas station and post Addy on my story. If you wanna pull up and kill me, it’s the time to do it. If you wanna get a flick with me, it’s the time to do it. I’m overdose tonight and kill myself. I’m just joking, I’m not actually gonna do that, but…
