Shamaury White (born November 12, 1995) also known as Why G, is a Canadian rapper from the Jamestown area of the Rexdale neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario. Despite originally being from Jamestown, Why G would join the areas direct rival gang set the Driftwood Crips.

Why G is best known for his collaboration with other BFR (Blue Feather Records) artists such as Pressa and Houdini. He is also famously known for going on the run after a warrant for his arrest was issued in relation to the June 1, 2016 shooting of Nathan Leigh. Why G was eventually captured in Columbus, Ohio on May 26, 2018 before being extradited back to Canada to face the attempted murder charges. Why G was eventually cleared of all charges related to the Nathan Leigh shooting and was released from custody seven months after being extradited.
