Wayen is a Singer, Rapper and Songwriter originally from DR Congo, currently based in Cape Town, South Africa. He sings and rap in English, French and Lingala.

He believes that being an artist is something that one is born to do and not learned at school. He went on to study through practical experiences, learning through trials, errors and self discoveries.

About the music, firstly He was influenced by the big brothers he was living with in 2003, they used to play hip-hop music a lot. And later in 2007 he felt in love of Lil Wayne’s voice and without speaking English I was rapping his lyrics. He ended up having almost 500 of his songs just to find one track I didn’t know the name “Hustler Music”.

His first experiences as an artist since his childhood he used to always write more than he speaks and he has been showing signs of Art in drawing, storytelling, singing, and being comic. His family and friends could’ve noticed but no-one was there to show him the path to the direction of what I really wanted. Until he found that Music is the only thing he loves more and the only place he can express himself better by combining all his talents for one purpose.

So far he has more than 100 songs he wrote not yet recorded. And I have a couple records to be released soon in his upcoming debut project.

It’s all about the love of art and the music, and he would enjoy sharing his life with world through his music.
