Pascal, better known as Vitalic, released his first singles in the French underground electronic music scene in 1996. His break came with the release of the Poney EP in 2001 through International DeeJay Gigolo Records. The track “La Rock 01” from the EP became a hit and was featured on various compilation albums, including one by Miss Kittin.

In 2005, Vitalic released his debut album “OK Cowboy” on Different/PIAS Recordings. Pascal states that all the instruments used in the album are synthesized, and his official website states that “the only thing he can’t fake is the emotion that galvanizes his music.”

Vitalic released his second album, Flashmob, on 28 September 2009. The first single, “Your Disco Song,” was available on Vitalic’s MySpace page. The album featured the song “Poison Lips,” used in the 2012 film Dredd, and a 2016 Amazon TV ad. Flashmob also served as the soundtrack for the film La leggenda di Kaspar Hauser.
