VIOLENT VIRA is a first-generation Mexican-American alt-rock and metal artist known for her raw and emotional haunting vocals. Her music pulls from the darkest corners of grief, identity, religious trauma, and mental struggle, often wrapped in crushing guitar riffs and emotionally charged melodies.

She broke through in 2021 with her debut single “I Don’t Care,” which currently has racked up over 91 million streams on Spotify, building a loyal fanbase drawn to her intensity and honesty. She’d also release various songs after which would draw in larger audiences as her fanbase would grow rapidly, songs such as God Complex & I’ll Save Myself This Time are some of the standout songs she’d go on to release through 2022. Each song showcasing raw emotion, pure vocal talent and the aggressive yet empowering energy she brings to her music.

In 2023, she dropped her first EP, Till’ Death Was Never Enough, and spent the next year self-booking a 34-city tour. She’d sell out shows, earning a spot on major festival lineups like Sick New World. By 2025, she signed with Mom+Pop Music and teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Jennifer Decilveo for her first official label single, “Saccharine,” a biting, sweetly twisted song about the need for validation and the chaos it brings.

Her debut full-length album, Lover of a Ghost, released November 14th, 2025. It’s a 14-track journey through love, loss, rage, and reflection. VIRA herself describes the album as a tribute to every relationship that shaped her, including the one she has with her own inner “ghost.”
