Victor Grimmy Owusu (born July 20, 1987), known profesionally as V.I.C. (an initialism of Victorious In Christ), and formally known as Genius, is a American rapper born in New York but was residing in Atlanta, Georgia.

He first got into rap at the age of 10, by writing a drug awareness rap for his elementary school. Later that year, him and his family moved to College Park, Georgia, where he would graduate high school and would later work as a freelance barber while pursuing a music career. V.I.C. would then start to get a following, with singles such as “Get Silly” and “Wobble” gaining virality through social media. His debut album, Beast, was released on August 26, 2008. The album charted at #73 on the Billboard 200, selling 8,000 copies the first week.

From the span of 2009 to 2012, V.I.C. would continue to release a slew of singles and mixtapes, some of which would earn some virality such as “Say Bow” and “Twerk It,” however his future releases would not match up to the same success as his earlier releases. For a brief period, V.I.C. would rebrand himself as Genius, and would release the single “Murder She Wrote” on September 18, 2015. He would go back to his original stage name and would release the single “Snapchat (Pose for the Camera)” on December 27, 2015, which is known to many as V.I.C.’s final major release.

For a long time, V.I.C. was working on his sophomore studio album Revenge of the Beast, but was cancelled with no notice after a lack of new information surfacing.
