Benjamin Muñoz Varas is the self-taught producer, singer and songwriter that goes under the moniker Varas. The promising 25-year-old who has carved out his own expression, where each song has the melodies to pull you in on first listen and leave a mark on you. Combined with an aesthetic that syncs well with Gen-Z, he truly brings something new to the contemporary indie scene.

Musically, Varas deals in short, solid, almost-pop songs, but pop songs that aren’t afraid to stray into unexpected areas. Taking influences from classic 70s rock, punk, hip-hop, jazz, soul, and anything else that catches his attention. Whose signature sound reflects of a multifaceted artist – who carefully puts together a mix with references range all the way from Queen and Rolling Stones to Tyler, the Creator and Pharrell Williams.

Varas' new music takes him into new territory. The principle remains the same – strongly melodic, sweetly simple, and direct songwriting beyond what it was before, breaking any genre box he might have been placed in. His songs are a jumble of emotions, pivoting between playful, raw and intense, a window into Varas' personality.
