Formed in 1986 from the remnants of Phantom Limb (Jim Shepard and Roxanne Newman) and Kevyn and the Kasualties (Rudy K. Smith and Nudge Squidfish), V-3 churned out several underground EPs and albums.
In 1995, mastermind Shepard formed a new lineup with Leland Cain and Gaunt’s Sam Brown, creating V-3’s only music video that aired on MTV (“American Face”).
The band went defunct for good in 1998 with Shepard’s suicide.
