Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia, the birthplace of many legendary poets, $tuffa has always felt the responsibility to represent his hometown properly. Thanks to his older brother who introduced the rapper to some classic tapes by Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Xzibit and many more , $tuffa discovered the rich world of hip hop and rap in his early childhood. At the age of 13 he started making beats.

“I’ve always wanted to make music that I would listen to myself.”, says $tuffa. “I’m a huge fan of Western sound, always been, and naturally, it has a major influence on my style. However, originality and integrity are of significant value to me. I want to be in control of the whole creative process, I write, produce, record, mix, master all by myself and that’s why my music is 100% organic.”
