Tribulation is a Gothic Death Metal band from Arvika, Sweden. The band formed in 2004 out of the ashes of the members previous band, Hazard. Long time friends; Johannes Andersson, Adam Zaars, Jonathan Hultén, Olaf Wikstrand, and Jonas Wikstrand were all in Hazard together until 2004 when the Wikstrand brothers were kicked out of the band. They were kicked out because the band wanted to take a heavier approach to the music and the Wikstrand brothers wanted to have clean vocals.

Throughout the years Tribulation has gone through very few lineup changes and has continued to release highly rated gothic death albums. The bands influences are 90’s death metal bands from Florida such as Obituary, Death and most importantly Morbid Angel
