Carter De Filippis (born on August 17, 2001), known professionally as ThxSoMch, is a singer and songwriter from Toronto, Canada. His large music genre consists of emo-pop, post-punk and electronic pop.

His early tracks including “Imperfect Girl” and “Like I’m British” display this range in genres, as the tracks reach from alternative pop to rap. These singles continued to be released in 2022, developing into a more indie-rock sound, including singles such as “Imperfect Girl” and “Keep It Tucked”.

This was until he struck gold in December of the same year with his hit single “SPIT IN MY FACE!” which gained large traction from TikTok. The indie, alternative-rock track charted all over the world, and was noted as his breakthrough track.

“SPIT IN MY FACE!” along with his other recent singles at the time such as “CAROLINE,” “Hate.” and “Crumbled” would then later appear on his debut EP, Sleez, in May 2023.

In 2025, Carter released his first album, The Sound of You Laughing. In early 2026, he released two singles back to back, “Bestby” and “Shakedown.”
