The Incredible String Band (often abbreviated as ISB) was a pioneering British psychedelic folk group formed in Edinburgh in 1966 by Clive Palmer, Robin Williamson, and Mike Heron. Shortly after the band’s inception, Clive Palmer departed, leaving Williamson and Heron to continue as a dynamic duo. Over time, the group expanded to include other members, such as Licorice McKechnie, Rose Simpson, and Malcolm Le Maistre, each contributing to their eclectic sound.
