The Human Abstract is an American Progressive Metalcore band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2004. The group was originally signed to the independent label Hopeless Records. While the band was signed to Hopeless Records they released the two albums Nocturne (2006) and Midheaven (2008). For their third album they signed to eOne Music and released Digital Veil (2011). Though never officially breaking up, The Human Abstract has been inactive in both releases and live performances since their most recent album, a cover EP of Beethoven’s 3-movement “Moonlight Sonata”, which was released February 14th, 2012.
