The Getaway Plan
An alternative-rock band from Melbourne, Australia, The Getaway Plan formed in 2004.
The band’s original line-up consisted of Matthew Wright (lead vocals, piano, rhythm guitar), Clint Ellis (lead guitar), Benny Chong (rhythm guitar, vocals), Dave Anderson (bass guitar) and Aaron Bennett (drums, percussion). The group’s present line-up has Dan Maio on drums and Mike Maio on bass guitar.
Their debut EP, “Hold Conversation” was released on March 13, 2006. The track, “If the Suspense Doesn’t Kill Us, Something Else Will…” received notable airplay on radio station Triple J. Benny Chong departed the group shortly after its release.
The band’s debut album, “Other Voices, Other Rooms” was released on February 9, 2008, and contains some of the group’s most notable singles: “Where the City Meets the Sea” and “Shadows”.
“Requiem” was released as the band’s sophomore album on November 4, 2011. On July 3, 2015, their third album “Dark Horses” was released.
