The Fruit Tree Foundation
The Fruit Tree Foundation was a Scottish music project founded by Idlewild guitarist Rod Jones and ex-The Delgados vocalist Emma Pollock. The group included:
- James Graham (The Twilight Sad)
- Scott Hutchison (Frightened Rabbit)
- Jill O'Sullivan (Sparrow And The Workshop)
- Karine Polwart
- Jenny Reeve
- Alasdair Roberts
- James Yorkston
They were brought together to write an album dealing with themes of mental health and wellbeing. Growing from the Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival and associated with The Mental Health Foundation, Scottish Wave of Change and Breathing Space Scotland , the group’s album First Edition was released in 2011.
