The 5th Dimension was a vocal group whose heyday came in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Its members—Billy Davis Jr., Florence LaRue, Marilyn McCoo, Lamonte McLemore, and Ronald Townson—produced a crossover-friendly version of soul music blended with psychedelic pop. Its two most prominent members, Davis and McCoo, went solo and had several more hits.
