Telekinetic Yeti
Telekinetic Yeti is a psychedelic heavy metal band formed in 2015 by Alex Baumann (guitarist and vocalist) and Rockwel Heim (drummer) in Dubuque, Iowa. The duo’s sound combines cryptic melancholy and hypnotic doom.
After many underground shows, the band made a breakout debut with their self-released 2017 album Abominable. Metalhead site The Obelisk ranked it the number one “debut album of the year.” The album’s third track “Stoned and Feathered” soon gained popularity with its music video, followed by glowing endorsements from metal outlets and performers, including Ozzy Osbourne bass player Brasko.
They went on to tour with heavy metal acts Clutch, Black Label Society, Red Fang, and Weedeater. They released their second album Primordial in 2022 with producer Phillip Cope of Kylesa fame under the indie label Tee Pee Records.
