Montreal based Teiki is a singer/songwriter unafraid to strip down to their emotions, welcoming the listener into their sentimental pop music; After studying the piano from a very young age and performing in Europe & Africa, Teiki’s will to share original music pushed them move to Montreal at 18; the turning point of their growth. While evolving in Fashion as Model & Stylist, they quickly incorporated sound design experiments and digital production to their song-making. Listing FKA Twigs, James Blake or M.I.A as inspirations Teiki presents in 2020 their debut EP “SOLITARIUS”: revealing a melancholic sound with trap accents, a pouring heart and a distinctive vibrato. The innocence of the debut project sheers through and cosigns for their honesty. Mostly self-produced; the 4-track project evokes loneliness, love and relationships being a young LGBTQ person.
