On Tasan’s latest project, “Ornaments”, she explores the other side of Christmas for some – the feelings of mourning, solace, and healing. Songs like Tetris and Snowden speak to feelings ranging from confusion to being lonely during the holiday season. Never afraid to address the complexity of relationships in song, Tasan talks about expectations and commitment in songs such as Tonight and Keys. Ornaments are a display of the pieces of truth, pain, and love which make up our own tree of our lives.

The UK born, Jamaica bred Tasan (nee Tasan Thompson) is no stranger to the music industry.
Heavily influenced by both her Jamaican culture and growing up in a successful musical family, Tasan has arranged and crafted some of the most prolific songs for, as well as collaborated with such artists as her father, Papa San, as well as Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, Skip Marley, Steven Malcolm as well as releasing her debut EP, Live, featuring “Running”, the lead single with her father. The project received critical acclaim and established Tasan as an artist in her own right.
