Tallah

Hailing from Pennsylvania, Tallah is comprised of five members who share a passion for playing intense, heavy and intricate music. They’re influenced by bands such as KoRn, Code Orange, and Slipknot. The band consists of Max Portnoy, son of infamous Mike Portnoy and Justin Bonitz, a renowned Youtube musician known for his own works along with doing covers of songs by great bands such as Linkin Park, Slipknot, System Of A Down, etc.

Tallah released their debut single Placenta May 15, 2018, showing off the dark and twisted concept of their debut EP, No One Should Read This, which would later release on August 15 of the same year. No One Should Read This tells the story of a man who is held hostage by his mother in a little house that he’s never escaped from. He’s never seen the outdoors and as the EP progresses, he attempts to make an escape only to find out that something happens that he never planned on…something dreadful and tragic.

This EP and it’s concept were laterdeveloped into a full length album under Earache Records, released October 2nd 2020 – Matriphagy is the full intended story of Kungan and his mother Tallah – and further details the events that take place between the two, alongside rerecorded versions of the EP songs.
