Sydney Metalcore outfit Synge have exploded onto the scene with a masterfully curated blend of sounds reminiscent of the sonic landscape of the US and UK modern heavy scene, eager to show audiences on their home shores what they’re made of. Initially forming in 2019, the band have made a name for themselves for their well rehearsed and compelling live show, and have solidified their position as a staple of the local Australian heavy scene. Having showcased their catalogue of heavy hitters on lineups alongside the likes of local Australian heavyweights Ocean Sleeper, Inertia, Isotopes, DVSR, Bloom, Above, Below (among many more), the band is showing no signs of slowing down.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the four piece sought to reinvent their image, culminating in the release of the debut EP, ‘Vacant Minded’ in May 2022. Following the release, both singles ‘Refract’ and “Soma', as well as focus track ‘Clarity’, were added to Spotify’s Homegrown + Heavy playlist, with Clarity' scoring a place on Spotify’s All New Metal playlist (500,000+ likes). Vacant Minded' received praise from Hysteria Mag, Heavy Mag, AAA Backstage, Amplify, and scored radio play on Triple J’s Short Fast Loud program, Unearthed Radio, The Faction, and a plethora of other local community radio stations across the country.
