Sweetbox is a Los Angeles-based pop music project formed in Germany in 1995 by executive producer Heiko Schmidt and music producer Roberto “Geo” Rosan. Sweetbox has had many diverse lead singers including Kimberly Kearney, Dacia Bridges, Tina Harris, Jade Villalon, Jamie Pineda, Miho Fukuhara, and Saint Viv.

Though Kimberley Kearney and Dacia Bridges were some of the project’s first singers, worldwide success came with third vocalist, Tina Harris. “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” released in 1997, which topped charts around the world. This kickstarted a musical theme, sampling classical music, which would follow the project’s reputation.

Jade Villalon replaced Tina Harris, becoming the fourth vocalist with five original albums, all reaching Gold or Platinum in Korea. During this time, the project collaborated with Square Enix for two vocal themes in the international version of Final Fantasy X-2, the English versions of real Emotion and 1000 Words. She and Geo would leave though, marking the first time a producer has left the project.

Jamie Pineda would be the vocal sound of Sweetbox in late 2007 with The Next Generation in 2009, which was produced by Derek Bramble. She would stay for one more album, Diamond Veil in 2011 and it was released in Japan and Korea, as the 8th studio album from Sweetbox.

Miho Fukuhara became the new frontwoman in 2013. In a first for the project a male lead was brought in to join and front alongside her, LogiQ Pryce. The studio album, titled #Zeitgeist21 was released on July 3, 2013.

Sometime in 2020, Jade and GEO returned to the group, making them the first to ever return to the project. They also brought in a new member, Saint Viv. Their most recent album, Da Capo, was released in 2020.
