Exploding onto Salt Lake City’s indie music scene in 2019, Sunfish has generated quite a buzz in a relatively short amount of time, selling out their frequent hometown shows with ease. Accompanied onstage by an ever-changing array of electrifying musicians, Carter Sears drenches gritty-alternative-synth-rock in warm melodies and encapsulating hooks, utilizing his antithetical music tastes to in genre with every release. Recently returning from their debut tour – Sunfish will continue to give their all to every performance, whether it’s for 10 or 10,000. Sunfish’s songwriting is well-complemented by an electrifying live show, achieved through continual rehearsing and perfecting. The band’s versatility is regularly put to the test as they perform a wide range of styles in their set, playing with both popular indie pop/rock groups, and larger rock and metal bands. Their single “New Mistake” was featured on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds: Rock” editorial playlist, and they continue to release new music and build their quickly growing fanbase.
