Hello,

My name is Emanuel. I come from a family of 7 (5 children) which grew in the post-communist Romania, so things in my life as I grew up weren’t that easy at times. But they were just perfect for me to grow up into what I am today.

I see music as one of the most complete ways in which to share a story, an experience, a feeling, a revelation. I was fascinated with music since I’ve discovered it as a kid. Meanwhile, it has become one of the most important things in my life: a channel to My Refuge and a mean of expressing my life.

I’ve decided to publish music under the name of Sukkot, as I feel that it encapsulates how I think we should see our life most of the time. The Hebrew word sukkōt is the plural for sukkah, which stands for “booth” or “tabernacle”. A sukkah serves as an admonition to man not to become overconfident because of affluence, and it symbolizes the frailty and transience of life and its dependence on God.
