Formed in Yokohama in January of 2013, Suchmos is a six-piece rock band with the following members:
- Vocals: YONCE (Kasai Yosuke)
- Bass: HSU (Kosugi Hayata)
- Drums: OK (Ohara Kento, KCEE’s brother)
- Guitar: TAIKING (Totsuka Taiki)
- DJ: KCEE (Ohara Kaiki)
- Keyboard: TAIHEI (Sakurauchi Taihei)

Inspired largely by African-American music such as rock, jazz, and hip-hop, their 2nd album “THE KIDS” sold 210,000 copies in Japan, making it their biggest hit.
The name “Suchmos” was inspired by Louis Armstrong’s nickname of “Satchmo”.
