Starsailor are an English alternative rock band formed in Wigan in 2000, consisting of James Walsh (vocals/guitar), James Stelfox (bass), Ben Byrne (drums) and Barry Westhead (keyboards).

Named after Tim Buckley’s 1970 album Starsailor, the band broke through with their 2001 debut Love Is Here, which reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and produced the singles “Good Souls,” “Alcoholic” and “Poor Misguided Fool.”

They followed it with Silence Is Easy (2003), featuring the title track and “Four to the Floor,” and continued with On the Outside (2005) and All the Plans (2009). After a four-year break, Starsailor reunited and later released All This Life (2017) and Where the Wild Things Grow (2024).
