Starkill is an American metal band from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.

Starkill began writing material in 2008 under the name Ballistika, then Massakren, and eventually settling on their current moniker. They subsequently signed to Century Media Records in December 2012 and released Fires of Life the following year on May 16th, 2013.

The band has incorporated many different musical styles, leading critics and fans to label them as melodic death metal, power metal, thrash metal, and symphonic black metal.
