Richard Okamoto, known by his artist name “starfall”, is a Japanese-American artist known for creating music under the pop, R&B, and anti-pop genres. He frequently collaborates with artists and friends such as bixby and Joon, with a large amount of his songs being produced by the likes of Joshwa, christian blair, and carbine.

In June 2023, with the release of his debut EP, lose myself, starfall appears to have signed a record deal with Soka/Mercury Records.

2024 marked starfall’s breakout year with the release of his most popular song to date, intentions, which went viral on the social media platform TikTok. The song currently has over 14M streams as of December 2024. This year also saw the release of his second EP, alone tonight.
