Social Distortion is an American punk rock band formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California, led by founding vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Mike Ness. They blend the raw sounds of early hardcore punk with rockabilly swagger, bluesy grit and outlaw country storytelling. They have become one of the most enduring bands to emerge from the Southern California scene.
