SLIGHT is a fully self-taught musician and producer from Frederick, Maryland who blends, bends, and creates a vibration that you can’t specifically place a genre on. From the melodies, to the guitar, his signature hard hitting drums and his deep cutting bass lines piece together elements of different genres seemingly with ease. Sometimes recording live guitar and drums, acoustic sessions. It’s hard to put down a Genre. His beats are all made from pure emotion, with a respect for all genres of music. At 7 years old, he received his first guitar for Christmas. He first started making music in April 2014 on Image-Line’s FL Studio Mobile edition for iOS, shortly after graduating from High School he was gifted a laptop by his Father. SLIGHT, whose birth name is Mark Robert Anderson, enrolled in Community College. He excelled in Business, Arts, and Communication. Although, he never passed his prerequisite classes, because he would skip class, go to the computer & entertainment building of his College, and learn how to use FL Studio and SoundCloud. From then, he was put on academic probation, where he had already amassed a large following on SoundCloud. He had the opportunity from the artist “Since When” (formerly C.I.T.F.) – One day, Smokesac contacted SLIGHT for a place for he and Yung Cortex to stay, and me and Since When invited them over. #MONEYPOSSE was formed. The rest is history.
