Sleeper is a British Britpop band formed in 1993, led by charismatic vocalist and songwriter Louise Wener alongside guitarist Jon Stewart.

Known for their catchy melodies, sharp lyrics, and Wener’s witty, feminist perspective, the band achieved significant success in the mid-1990s with hits like “Inbetweener,” “What Do I Do Now?” and “Sale of the Century.” Their albums, including Smart (1995) and The It Girl (1996), became defining records of the Britpop era.

After disbanding in 1998, Sleeper reunited in 2017, going on tour and releasing two more records since, The Modern Age (2019) and the so-called “lost” album This Time Tomorrow (2020).
