Catherine Grace Garner (born September 17, 1996), better known as Slayyyter, is an American singer-songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri.

She began writing and producing music during high school and college, posting lo-fi, 80s-inspired songs on SoundCloud. In 2018, she released her debut single, “BFF”, a collaboration with Ayesha Erotica.

She has released several collaborations and singles since then, particularly with frequent collaborators Ayesha Erotica, Charli XCX, That Kid and BOY SIM. Her self-titled mixtape was released on September 17, 2019.

In 2021, she released her debut album, Troubled Paradise, which is a mixture of hyperpop and dance-pop songs. As of 2026, Slayyyter avoids playing songs from this album, and she has expressed that her thoughts on this album are quite mixed. She has evolved quite far from this sound since then.

On September 22, 2023, she released her second studio album, STARFUCKER, which has a luxurious 80s theme and is inspired by underground, pop, and hyper/electro beats. She has actually stated that the era was heavily inspired by pop acts like MARINA and the Lonely Hearts Club tour she attended in high school. In fact, she noted that the concept of “STARFUCKER” served as an escapist, dramatized persona for her music.

Not long after, on the 1st of December 2023, Slayyyter released STARFUCKER (Deluxe), which included 3 new songs that weren’t on the tracklist originally; with this deluxe version, the tracklist was moved around majorly

On September 20th, 2024, Slayyyter released a song called “No Comma” independently, and it quickly became a hit among her biggest fans; so much so that she decided to reuse this sound for her third studio album.

In August of 2025, Slayyyter fulfilled her prior contract with FADER Label and signed a new deal with RECORDS in partnership with Columbia Records. But a month before that, Slayyyter started promoting her new single “BEAT UP CHANEL$” under her new label deal with RECORDS & Columbia by posting a video to social media of the album cover with a preview of the song. This single officially started the WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA era.

On March 27th, 2026, Slayyyter’s third studio album, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, officially released. This album has a trashy theme, blending Electroclash, Electronic, and Hyperpop. With the song DANCE…, the intro became a famous hit on social media.

On April 17, 2026, BROKE BITCH FREESTYLE was released as a promotional single for the at-the-time not-yet-revealed brother album WOR$T MAN IN AMERICA after being intended to be released on the original album but not making it.

On May 10, 2026, Slayyyter shared via her second Twitter account that she wanted to do a sequel for the album and not a traditional deluxe, like Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster, a sequel for her debut album The Fame.

On the same day, a fan asked if Slayyyter had any name ideas for the album; she replied:

WOR$T MAN IN AMERICA.
But she later deleted the post after a few hours.

The title of the album was confirmed via Tumblr on the 6th of July 2026 with a single image of a hat in a blue and red color scheme reading out the album title, WOR$T MAN IN AMERICA.
