J'Corey King (born March 29, 2004), known professionally as Sk8star, is an American recording artist from Macon, Georgia. He’s affiliated with Young Thug’s YSL group, and is a member of the Atlanta-based collective Ø Way.

In his interview with The Fader, Sk8star said he first began making music at age nine, when he remixed A$AP Rocky’s 2011 track “Peso”. However, he began taking music seriously in tenth grade, using Mixcraft with a $30 snowball mic.

After he began taking music seriously, Sk8star released his debut track “Stand4sum” in 2020 and later followed through with his debut project Superstar Status in 2021.

Following his career start, King would release a prolific amount of music onto streaming platforms. His second project, titled New world Order, was released in 2022, which was later followed with Mogul. Sk8star then followed with rebel and Whole New Meaning in 2023. Rebel in the Room appeared in 2024, and his EP, REBELUTION, was issued in 2025. In July, he released his last project of the year, titled PALE FEVER.

Entering 2026, Sk8star would continue building up momentum and hype for his releases; he began preparing for his next release, Designer Junkie, by releasing more content. The lead single for his project, “ForMyFolks,” would be released on January 21, 2026, and on February 11, he would officially release the project with guest appearances from Tezzus and diamond*. Upon release, the project was critically acclaimed by media outlets such as The Fader and Pitchfork. Building on that breakthrough, Sk8star would then release The Beautiful Rebellion on August 12, 2026, which would have guest appearances from diamond* and Pz'.
