Siv Disa is an American recording and video artist currently based in Reykjavik, Iceland. Prior to this, she spent time performing with her band in NYC under the name ‘Siv Disa and the Sea Divers’. This led to a monthly residency at Bowery Electric in 2019, a self-released EP ‘Waltzes’, and performances at festivals such as Sidewalk Antifolk Fest and Club Passim’s Campfire Festival. After the self-released “Waltzes”, Siv signed to Trapped Animal Records and released two more digital singles, with an upcoming debut album planned for Nov 2021 release.

With a background in classical piano, choral singing, and visual art, Siv Disa’s music and accompanying video works have been called art-pop, avant-pop, and psychedelia. Influences span the contemporary classical and pop worlds and include artists and composers such as Fiona Apple, Jose Gonzalez, Shostakovich, Bjork, and Sofia Gubaidulina.
